Yamba,
'08.
The sun beat
down mercilessly this year, in between storms, at the Blue Dolphin
Caravan Park, where the Borderline club had again put together a
great run.
The rain came down in torrents earlier in the week, and many a rod
was swamped by the downpour on their way to the event.

A family of goannas treat the park as their own
resort, & though they might wander into tents, they are not
dangerous.

Hammered & flamed, the '29 Tudor of Michael
Meredith
has plenty of moxie.

Someone spent a great deal of time making this
faux '32 3 window look the part, with rubbed out patina all over.

Early A tourers are both traditional & practical
- as the name suggests. This one is also immaculate and extremely
well detailed.

Dave Duncan's '33 3-window looks quite sharp,
with the right amount of contrasting pin stripes, & American
5-spokes.

Stephen Shackley owns
this all-Australian '39 Ford 'sloper', the fast-back style of 2-door
sedan that was also offered in non-Fords in Australia.

Rod Brewer's '32 Tudor, in cruising-the-park mode.

Pat Wilson has been working hard on his Buick -
it now has LPG injection, and a Turbo 700 tranny for those long
hauls.

Phillip Meredith's '32 hiboy roadster is quite
different from the style usually applied to the popular model. The
wide whites help set it apart.

Daniel McDougall's brand new deuce hiboy is from
the C & W Components shop, and was admired by many.

Marie Derwin owns the '41 Willys - seen here
cruising alongside the mighty Clarence River.

Darren Nyall is now side-lining as the
local interviewer for the
Rodders Life TV show, so keep an eye out
for him at a run near you.

Dave Hart's well known & perfectly executed '33
Tourer hiboy is always a stand-out item wherever it goes.

The Sh-boom crew get to trot out their wares, as
well as
their sharp Model A closed cab pickup at most local runs.

The entire family appears to be ecstatic at the
prospect of a cruise in this '46 Fordor.

The humidity was quite high beside the river; I
parked my coupe for 15 minutes and this tree grew right out of the
roof!

He has owned the car for 30 years, and started
work on it 25 years ago, so this custom made '39 pickup really is
part of the family.

Greg & Chris Thomsen take their rare as rocking
horse poop '55 Courier for a spin. It's for sale for about $20k.

Here is another example of a once marginally
popular body style (though all old Fords are desirable
nowadays) made uber popular by a classy top chop.

Rick Ilgith takes Dave Winter's roadster for a
lap around the park, while Dave keeps an eye on the big-block owner.
