Looking for all the world like a restored '36
5-window, this rod uses a tasty finned head equipped flathead for
power.

Chuck Poulsen has his '34 Fordor on the road at
last. The Chevy powered sedan uses a US body, rather than the
indigenous variety.

The word was that this roadster pickup runs on a
Toyota chassis, which is one way of building a car without busting
the bank account.

They are not obvious in this shot, but Phillip
Meredith's '32 hiboy runs a type of pie crust tyres on the back -
nice touch

The colour scheme on this Buick is quite
delicious.

Dave Hemsworth hasn't long had this '32 pickup on
the road, and it is already being noticed all over the land.

Just in case you missed the absolute perfection
in the detailing of the SBC in this Chevy Impala, the show is
repeated in the mirrors.

Buick Caballero's are exceedingly rare in this
part of the world, especially those that have been restored to this
high standard.

Peter Ray's '37 roadster uses a set of original
mechanical fuel injectors that have been converted to EFI, atop his
SBC.

'30 - '31 Model A's always look nice with a '32
grille shell, and a chopped top. Note the race styled filler cap
flush mounted in the rear quarter.

Rick
Ilguth's '32 coupe continues to look the part of the high
dollar, high horsepower unit that we featured some time back.

Ray Clayon travelled down to the coast in his
delightful T-bucket, while in convoy with his unique, chrome yellow
Holden Woody.

Powder blue Mustangs are not difficult to find,
but this one was immaculate, inside & out.

A ground scraping '57 Sports Coupe on air bags,
with a blower and a pair of Demons sticking out in the breeze, is
every small boy's dream.

Note the elaborate and well executed hood
mechanism on Dave Hemsworth's deuce hiboy pickup. The top piece fits
snugly over the Blower Drive Service huffer & scoop.

A pair of lead sleds, in this case Mercury
coupes, hang out in the beatnik part of town.

Now thats a tasty little orange flavoured A hiboy
on deuce rails that would look good in any rodders garage.

A Mercury that has been chopped and customised as
nicely as this example is more than welcome at Wintersun

There are four carbs on the flatmotor,
as well as finned heads, to make little deuce 3-window run hard.

Parked among the trees in the park, this snappy
little deice 3-window hiboy looked great in yellow, with red wheels.

Maybe this was a special parking spot for blown
Chevy powered cars? The Camaro runs a BBC, while the '28 Ford Tudor
now runs an SBC. It
once had
a Ford engine.

Mal & Sylvia Clonan's '34 Tudor provides a great
foreground to this shot of the Gold Coast skyline. That's Surfers
Paradise on the horizon.

That might not be powder blue on the deuce
pickup's body, but it is close enough. The guards, added a few years
ago, are a nice shade of black

We are told that this is another of Chucky
Poulsen's cars. Either way, it is a very nice ride.

The Phil Reeks deuce woody has been around for a
while. Check out the feature on the cover of the latest
Australian Street Rodding.

One of the sweetest rods in attendance, this
blown Chevy powered '34 Tourer is as straight as a die,

Tony Jukes' named his deuce coupe the Phantom,
maybe because it appears out of the mist at quite a few runs.

Another Victorian car, though the owner has moved
to the Gold Coast relatively recently.
