Valla,
'07,
page 2.
Alas, bad weather washed those chances away, and the park was
smothered in a smaller, well watered, dust cloud, almost certainly
for the last time.
The number of new cars, those in the Rookie Corral,
appeared to be up, and the quality of new cars, in the main,
continues to climb. The same reliable itinerary was used, with trips
away from the park in the days leading up to the street display in
nearby Nambucca Heads, and various corrals for Tudors, coupes,
roadsters etc, on different days.
If you haven't been a part of this run, then you should get there
next year.

All Ford, and possibly
all Australian. The '34 was made in Geelong, and the Cleveland could
well be an Australian made item too.

Not a common sight, this '28 Model A tourer body
sits atop a deuce frame; note the louvred back panel.

This deuce 3-window hiboy has been a regular,
with various owners, for many Valla trips.

Paul Cundy trucked his very powerful, supercharged 383 powered
'34 Chevy RP from Armidale.

The motor in Denis Moreau's
T-bucket is one of those supercharged BBC thingies, which requires
that the pickup bed be louvered.

Al Pepper took away a Rookie award, which is a
real credit for the mostly owner built '37 roadster. See the build
here.

Chad & Nicole Lackey from the Gold Coast Rodders
have hit the road with their new '33
Tudor.

The Aussie bodied '34 5-window number plate was
probably ordered with the car in mind, but the driver &
passenger give a whole new meaning. |

Ian Hickey carries a dickie seat passenger whose
hair matches the bright body colour of his '35 5-window coupe.

Greg Love, father of Ben with the green Model A coupe,
did a superb job on this Mopar 2 door sedan conversion.

Gorri Borg motors down
the Pacific Highway from Nambucca Heads to Valla.

Peter Ray brought along one of the few '37 roadsters
that attended; a couple were in basic black.

Brian "Boris" Lambert & Graham Urquhart at
speed in Boris' '28 tub. So fast that Graham appears to have lost
all his hair.

This rookie '36 coupe was not only immaculate in
every detail, but up for sale.

Craig Gilling's '28 hiboy cruises in the setting
sun; the driver
is certainly not Craig.

Phil Ketter takes Darren Martin for a cruise in
Darren's ultra low T roadster. |

Ian Ward's impeccable Tudor, with
son-in-law Darren Silich riding shotgun.

More Victorians make the trip every year, but
this '37 has been a regular for many years.

The sombreros were big this year - in more ways
than one. The Skin Cancer Foundation would approve this trend.

Castlemaine's Larry & Mary O'Toole have done more miles in
their big block powered '28 Tudor, just driving to Valla,
than some rods rack up in a lifetime.

The exuberant Carl Gunther and his '32 roadster,
travelling sans hood, and loving every minute of it.

Paul Jones's '34
bus drew a crowd
wherever it went, and it was no surprise when Paul & Moya's new
drive car won a Top Ten prize.

Pat Laub cruised in Paul Jones' bus most of the
time, but had a great time in his '32 hiboy also.

Sometimes a post '48 car turns up at Valla and
turns lots of heads. Such was the case with this non-entrant,
heavily chopped
'spinner' 2 door sedan.
